Bird House

This modern barndominium draws from simple agricultural forms, brought together beneath a standing-seam metal roof with vertical metal siding and stone accents that ground the home in its setting. The project is unique in that it blends two distinct client preferences—modern and rustic—into a cohesive design that balances clean lines with warm, natural materials. Inside, a vaulted great room anchors the home, featuring exposed wood trusses, a full-height stone see-through fireplace, and clerestory windows that fill the space with natural light.

An open kitchen and dining area flow seamlessly within the main living volume, while a mezzanine overlook and large sliding glass doors extend visual connections throughout. An intentionally oversized garage reflects the home’s functional, lifestyle-driven approach and reinforces the barndominium’s blend of utility and character.
